For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Safeblood, Inc. include www.safeblood.com, Safe Blood, SafeBlood, SafeBlood Donation and any derivative/variant thereof. The Safe Blood application is a Membership Registration Application. By registering for membership, you consent to the data practices and privacy policy described herein.

Collection of your Personal Information

While Safe Blood is designed to allow you to provide only the minimum of information necessary in order to provide the services you are purchasing, in order to better provide you with products and services offered, Safe Blood allows you to provide information, such as your:

      – Mailing Address

      – E-mail Address

      – Phone Number

      – Username, Member ID Number

If you purchase Safe Blood’s paid products and services, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete the purchase transaction, and may be retained by Safeblood if you select a monthly billing option.

Safe Blood may also allow you to provide demographic information, which is not unique to you, but may be necessary for some of our services, such as our Advance Directive (medical Living Will), and Medical ID Card.  This information may include fields such as your:

      – Gender

      – Blood Type

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services. These may include: (a) registering for an account; (b) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (c) sending us an email message; (d) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services. To wit, we will use your information for, but not limited to, communicating with you in relation to services and/or products you have requested from us. We store your data on servers provided by third party hosting vendors with whom we have contracted, and make every effort to keep redundant, encrypted backups and secure your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. Server Data

As with any connection to a web server, our servers log and store certain technical data. This data may include the IP address and the operating system of your device, the dates, the access time, the type of browser and the browser request including the origin of the request (referrer). This is necessary for technical reasons to provide you with our website. Our third party server vendors take measures to protect this data against unauthorized access and do not pass it on to third parties. To the extent that we process personal data in the process, we do so based on our interest in providing you with the best possible user experience and ensuring the security and stability of our systems.  If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email.

Right to Access and Duration of Data Retention

We store the information you provide in your user profile. Users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information. We retain and maintain this data until you either delete your account or terminate your membership.  You may request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.

Right to Deletion

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, you may request that we delete any personal data associated with your membership. This does not include data that we are required to retain for administrative, legal or security reasons. On receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

  • Delete your personal information from our records; and
  • Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.
